Leech Lake Veteran Fishing Event – Walker, MN

Band of Brothers Outdoors is excited to announce our Leech Lake Veteran Fishing Event, taking place on the legendary waters of Leech Lake in Walker, Minnesota!

Hosted in partnership with Spirit of the North Resort, this event gives veterans the opportunity to enjoy one of Minnesota's premier fishing destinations while building camaraderie with fellow service members. Whether you're an experienced angler or simply looking to spend a few days on the water, this event is all about reconnecting, sharing stories, and experiencing the healing power of the outdoors.

The event begins on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM with veteran check-in at Spirit of the North Resort. After settling in, veterans will enjoy dinner and an evening of fellowship before heading out for a full day of guided fishing on Saturday. The event concludes following a partial day of fishing on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

As with all Band of Brothers Outdoors events, there is no cost for selected veterans to attend. All lodging, meals, and guided fishing opportunities are provided throughout the weekend.

Veteran Responsibilities

• Provide your own transportation to and from the event.

• Purchase and bring a valid Minnesota fishing license.

• Bring weather-appropriate clothing and any personal items you may need during the weekend.

If you know another veteran who is also applying and you would like to attend the event together, please include their name in the "Anything else we should know?" section of your application. While we cannot guarantee both applicants will be selected, we will make every effort to accommodate requests whenever possible.
