About the Event

Band of Brothers Outdoors invites you to join our dedicated volunteers for an unforgettable fishing experience on one of Minnesota’s premier walleye destinations—Mille Lacs Lake.

This highly anticipated annual event provides veterans the opportunity to spend a full day on the water alongside experienced boat captains and volunteers. It’s more than just fishing—it’s about camaraderie, connection, and the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors. Year after year, Mille Lacs delivers not only exceptional fishing success but also lasting friendships and meaningful experiences.

Event Schedule

Friday Evening

• Meet & Greet (5:30 PM – 9:00 PM)

• Dinner provided

• Meet your boat captains and volunteer team

• Guest speaker (to be announced)

Saturday

• Morning boat launch (7AM)

• Midday return to shore for lunch (provided)

• Afternoon fishing session

• Return to shore at approximately 4:00 PM

Schedule is subject to change based on weather and fishing conditions to ensure the best possible experience.

Participation Details

• Open to veterans

• Each veteran may bring one (1) optional guest

Lodging & Transportation

• Lodging will be provided for Friday night (Double Room Occupancy)

• Lodging location will be announced soon

• Veterans wishing to extend their stay through Saturday night may do so at their own expense (details available upon request after selection)

• Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from Mille Lacs Lake

Equipment

• Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear

• A limited number of rods and lures will be available for use

Licensing Requirements

• All participants must possess a valid Minnesota fishing license
