Rainy River Sturgeon Fishing Weekend – International Falls, MN

Band of Brothers Outdoors is excited to offer veterans a premier fishing experience on the legendary Rainy River, near International Falls, Minnesota. This multi-day event is centered around targeting lake sturgeon, one of Minnesota’s most iconic and powerful freshwater species, in a river known nationwide for producing world-class fish.

Participants will enjoy a full day of fishing on Saturday followed by a half-day on Sunday, allowing ample time on the water while still maintaining a relaxed, enjoyable pace. This event is designed to provide not only exceptional fishing opportunities, but also meaningful camaraderie and time outdoors with fellow veterans.

Event Details

• Location: Rainy River, near International Falls, MN

• Fishing Focus: Sturgeon

• Schedule: Full day of fishing on Saturday and a half-day on Sunday

Transportation & Lodging

• Veterans are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event

• Lodging and meals will be provided in International Falls, MN

• Boat access is a short 12-mile drive from lodging to the river each day

• Participants should be prepared for variable weather conditions and plan accordingly

Fishing Gear Requirements

Veterans are encouraged to bring their own sturgeon-specific rod and reel setup, including:

• Heavy-duty rod

• High-weight test line

• Large circle hooks

• Non-rolling weight

A limited number of sturgeon rods and reels will be available for those who do not have their own equipment.

Additional Requirements

• A valid Minnesota fishing license is required
